Without a doubt the Thor's hammer is the most famous vikings' jewellery of the time before Christians. In many settlements and graves of the vikings' time small miniature hammers were discovered showing the symbol of the nordic god Thor. With that many simple Thor's hammer came along out of cheap materials like tin or bronze, but also expensive master pieces out of gold or silver came to light.
