Roman-Shop Ecological Packaging
The seal stands for organic and sustainable packaging of this product
Farewell to the throwaway society
In times of dwindling resources and increasing environmental pollution by domestic waste, it is worth to think about packaging. Our oceans are suffering more and more from the pollution caused by plastic waste. The trash cans and dumpsites are getting full. Valuable resources are wasted for packaging and cannot be reused after being used as preservation for goods and end up in the trash can. As well, there are many ecofriendly alternatives.
What makes organic packaging so outstanding?
Organic packaging should consist 100% of natural and pollution-free raw materials. Only then, it can be disposed easily and ecofriendly when it is no longer needed. The contribution to a sustainable life is considerably larger, when recycling materials are used for the production of packaging. Respecting environmental compatibility on packaging is an important contribution to the preservation of the world we live in. To keep CO2 and pollutant emissions as low as possible, only renewable raw materials should be used for manufacturing organic packaging. This saves resources, prevents further expansion of the ozone hole and keeps our air clean.
Organic is not the same as unpacked
Our desire to protect the environment, does not mean that we do not or no longer pack our goods sufficient. We are aware that our products must be protected sufficiently against damage for shipment, so that the goods arrive undamaged with you. This can only be achieved with an appropriate packaging. However, we make sure to use organic packaging. Nature provides enough suitable raw materials like wood, wool and cotton. Wooden finest chips and strips for soft wood wool are recovered as organic packaging. Wood wool can be used after use as animal bedding or craft materials in your household.
Producing paper is another alternative to reuse the wood. The paper is processed into packaging bags. Thereafter, this organic packaging can be reproduced for waste paper collection or compost or burned in our own oven. However, even plastic bags can be created in the quality of an organic packaging. From glucose molecules produced by plants, a completely biodegradable bio-plastic can be produced. If the bio-plastic packaging has completed its service, it decomposes in the shortest possible time or it can also be disposed for recyclable materials or residual waste. The longest-lasting organic packaging is the cotton bag for sure. Meanwhile, the slogan "jute instead of plastic" has been anchored in everyone's mind for a long time and the cotton bag is a very often-used organic packaging. Washable and reusable repeatedly, you can use this cloth bag on many occasions.
We want to do our bit
Just as we use for our products only natural materials, we also want to convert this philosophy into the packaging. Therefore, we dispense conventional packaging as far as possible and use organic packaging instead. We are always thinking about corresponding alternatives. Only if the security of the goods cannot be guaranteed for transport, we access to traditional packaging. We are constantly exploring new avenues to serve our customers and our environment.
We are always open for your ideas and suggestions and we are looking forward to communicating with you.
