Tradition of the drinking horn
The first evidence of the existence of drinking horns dates back to the Bronze Age, when excavations revealed hanging trimmings and metal fittings for their design.
The drinking horn was also known in various European cultures, such as those of the ancient Greeks and Romans. They were originally made from the impressive horns of aurochs or bison. Over the centuries, they were either reproduced in clay or metal or decorated with magnificent ornamental elements.
