To the middle of the 2nd century in Britain the so-called trumpets ornamentation evolved into a popular style of jewellery, which spread with the British troops in the whole empire.
The original is a decorative ornament from the late 2nd century that was found in the cohort Fort train coat in the Taunus. It is located in the Saalburg Museum collection and was the cat by Jürgen Oldenstein. No. 922 published.
