The wine ship Neumagen The wine ship Neumagen from circa 220 AD shows two men steering it, six rowers and 22 wooden oars. Because of the barrel form and the fact, that this ship was owed, it can be considered, that on the ship regional wine from the Moselle was shipped and exported.
This Roman wine ship was found in Neumagen - Dhron as a foundation part of a castle. The original is in the Regional Museum in Trier. A copy today is close to the Peters Chapel in Neumagen - Dhron.
