The everyday equipment with glasses and ceramics is also really well made and has survived the hard life of a soldier well. In general, the range of products is truly sensational and offers unique products from the Roman era for many age groups and requirements, from hardcore legionnaires to little Roman fans of primary school age.

Satisfied customers

The Dominikanermuseum Rottweil presents in its department "Roman Rottweil - Arae Flaviae" the life in the only Roman city in Baden-Wuerttemberg. We have been a customer of Römershop for a long time for our own museum shop and are convinced of the high and, above all, consistently high quality of the products. The entire team is always looking forward to new products and our shop is an attraction for our visitors thanks to good replicas.

Hello and thank you very much for the great products!

Our students were thrilled with the papyrus coloring pictures and the scarabs. As promised, I am sending you photos of the work with the coloring pictures. I wrote a review for the "scarab" coloring picture, but it can also be added to all the other pictures, since we had different motifs.

The lovingly and authentically designed products from the Römer-Shop have been accompanying me for years and even decades in the field of ancient representation. As a centurion in a Roman military unit until a few years ago, the stationery, from wax tablets to papyrus scrolls, was extremely helpful for high-quality appearances and presentations at museum festivals, in reenactment and in museum education work.

The card is easy to work with and the cardboard is sturdy enough for such projects. Perhaps small cast figures and horses on a plastic base would be a useful addition to the shop, rather than the cardboard pictures. My 12-year-old son had fun making something like that

"Reliefs like in antiquity" – just without hammers and dust

Relief design in the classroom | The Roman Shop

Crafting Reliefs – Bringing History to Life

Even in ancient Rome and Egypt, reliefs were more than just art – they were communication. A Roman emperor was proudly immortalized in stone, Egyptian gods brought to life. Today, students, families, and museum visitors can try these techniques themselves – without stone dust, but with plenty of curiosity.

Crafting a relief becomes an exciting time travel: when children paint plaster panels, they don’t just experience history – they leave their own mark. Our sets offer detailed motifs from various eras. From SPQR to mythological scenes to Egyptian deities – every template is educationally designed and visually engaging.

History in 3D – Meaningful Relief Design

What does history feel like? Those who craft reliefs get a tangible answer. In antiquity, reliefs were a symbol of power – adorning temples, tombs, and everyday objects. Perfect for project-based learning, holiday programs or creative afternoons at home: reliefs promote historical understanding, self-expression, and creative empowerment. Thus, crafting becomes a lively chapter of history to touch – individual, colorful, and educational.

Engage History with All Senses

Reliefs are more than craft objects – they are little time machines.
Coloring or recreating an ancient motif allows one to literally grasp history. These products combine historical education with hands-on creativity, turning every project into a meaningful experience. The combination of design, material, and symbolism conveys values and knowledge in an emotional way.

  • High-quality plaster reliefs: Authentically recreated motifs
  • Educational value: For schools, museums, and creative learning formats
  • Creative activity: For children, teens, and adults alike
  • Wide range of themes: Rome, Egypt, Mythology, Christianity
The combination of design, material, and symbolism conveys values and knowledge.

The Little Museum in the Classroom

Why just talk about history when you can shape it?
Reliefs offer a unique opportunity to bring historical eras to life – with brushes, colors, and imagination. Let your class stage Roman, Greek, or Egyptian motifs themselves: as a mini exhibition on the windowsill or during a thematic project week. Recreate scenes with your students – from Roman gods to Egyptian funerary rites. Enhance the reliefs with your own info cards or short role plays and create a space where history is not memorized but co-created and presented.

Interactive Project Ideas for School, Museum, or Home

These relief sets are inspiration for a new form of teaching – creative, tangible, collaborative. A real highlight for presentations or project days.

History is not crammed here – it is experienced.
