The mythology of the Skyphos
The mythical cup is often also known as Heracles Cup. Particular strengths were assigned to the healing and Oracle God. Heracles was a member of Mount Olympus, which was described as invulnerable. It is unclear whether this was caused by the use of his personal mug. The Cup was considered one of the highest-quality types of ware in antiquity. Most of such Skyphos have been created from clay and decorated with meaningful themes. The Greek origin of the word reflects the Greek mythological background of this kind of ware.
The individual production and processing of our ceramic mug
Each Skyphos replica is, like in antiquity, handmade and therefore given a particularly smooth surface. This way of making each ceramic mug carries a design which will have tiny individual features. The mug can be used in your everyday life or serve as an eyecatcher and decoration in the kitchen. The ceramic mug is easy to clean and versatile. With this type of gift, you will hand out a piece of antique flair.
