Papyrus - Unique Production
Cyperus Papyrus grew in large clumps. After harvesting, the stems were peeled, cut into thin strips, soaked multiple times, and then flattened. The strips were then laid closely together, and a second layer was placed on top in a crosswise format. Both layers were pounded until sap was released, acting as a glue. After drying, the resulting papyrus sheet was smoothed with a stone or wood, creating an ideal writing material.

The Script
A milestone in human history! It made it possible to communicate thoughts to others, to spread and preserve knowledge. In addition to stone and clay tablets, papyrus sheets were the first carriers of writing.
Simple and cheap to produce, light, rollable and foldable, and easily writable with simple tools. The predecessor of our modern paper could only emerge in a true high culture, a melting pot of knowledge and experience. Knowledge had to be swiftly and easily disseminated to as many people as possible. Otherwise, an imperial state apparatus with a highly developed economic system and construction industry along the Nile would have been unthinkable. Therefore, scholars in ancient Egypt began to use the papyrus plant native to the Nile. The fiber was mixed with water, shredded, flattened, and dried in the sun. The result - paper - could be cut or torn into usable and handy sheets and inscribed with simple charcoal.
Sheets from Egyptian cultivation on the Nile can be used for making exclusive invitations, gift or voucher cards, or for art classes. The original form of our paper is also suitable for writing with inkjet printers.
