This Roman oil lamp features the scales with the goddess Justitia, representing justice and the legal system. Every detail of the lamp mirror was filigree worked out. Justitia and scales are surrounded by several rings and holes for air circulation, oil filling and wick. At the end of the wick snout are two recesses, which serve to carry the lamp. The inscription on the top reads "Libra" = balance.
