A real Piece of agricultural History
In the early days of the Roman Empire there lived a man called Lucius Iunius Moderatus Columella. He resided on his own estate just outside of Rome. He was well know and famous for his advances and experiments regarding herbs and spices. He wrote many books about gardening and gardening. 12 of these books are still available today. But he especially loved herbs and spices before everything else. So, it should not come as a surprise that this industrious land owner came up with a great many uses for the different kinds of those ingredients. For example he even wrote down recipes on how to combine certain kinds of spices and herbs to achieve not only good taste but also health benefits.
The spice blend at hand is good for nearly everything! You can use it for salads, entrees of all sorts, fish, white meat and red meat as well as for bread, sauces and dips. The only things that does not go well with it are sweets.
It contains: Summer savory, mint, oregano, chives, celery, thyme, pepper and grape vines. Furthermore, it comes with some suggestions for meals that can be prepared with this blend.
