As early as the third century BC, the Gladius was developed from the weapon type of the so-called Iberian Celtiberians and enjoyed great popularity until 300 AD, being the standard weapon of the Roman infantry. With the triumphant march of the Roman Empire, the gladius also spread as an effective close combat weapon, which thus contributed significantly to the success of the Roman army and ultimately to the establishment of a world empire. The relatively short length predestined this sword as a thrusting weapon, which, however, was also distinguished with a great penetrating power. Under the greatest care, the short sword is made of glued solid beech wood, then elaborately painted and oiled. To give it the best possible stability, your gladius is reinforced inside with a solid metal rod, from the handle to the tip. Thus, he will always stand by you in battle!
