God's tent
This model illustrates the tent of God, which the Israelites constructed after their emigration. This tent served the admiration of God, it was the "tent of encounter". As central shrine it was the midpoint of religious life of Israelites of that time. God himself made the plan, how the tent should be constructed. With this he decided, how the humans could contact him. In the big tent the humans found place to get together, too. In many passages from the Bible is reported about this first place, the tabernacle.
