Nordic Mythology
Nordic mythology describes old stories about gods and beings with special powers before Scandinavia became Christian. This religion is also characterized by a multitude of gods, as with the Romans, Greeks or Germanic peoples.
The most important god is Odin, father of the gods, god of war and death. The Nordic gods can be divided into two sexes. The older gender of gods, the Wanen, who live in Wanaheim and the Asen, who come from Asgard. Odin is from the gender of the Asen, has only one eye and usually wears a helmet. He is often accompanied by animals like wolves and an eight-legged horse. At his side sits his wife Frigg, the patroness of motherhood and marriage.
Thor the weather god also comes from the gender of the Aesir. With his hammer he produces thunder and lightning and is considered the protector of mankind.
