Colosseum from Rome by Schreiber Kartonbau
Crafting combined with history - a successful combination
Anyone who has ever been to Rome in their free time or as an educational traveler will certainly have visited the numerous imposing buildings from past centuries. The Colosseum arts and crafts sheet reproduces one of these buildings in great detail and requires care and concentration even from experienced craftsmen. In free interpretation, the finished work is undamaged, while the world-famous Colosseum in Rome shows clear signs of damage.

Rome wasn't built in a day either
The 13 sheets of the Colosseum construction sheet result in an amphitheater on a scale of 1:400 after careful cutting out, joining and gluing together. If you take on this work, you will have a wonderfully lively circular theater after a while, in which one segment can be removed for an even better view. The resulting cross-section on the Colosseum cut-out sheet shows the rows of seats for spectators rising upwards in a staircase.
The Colosseum cut-out sheet shows the intricacies of the interior construction, as this type of round theater without a roof was intended as a performance venue for gladiator fights and chariot races for the entertainment of the people at the time. The spectators betting on the fighters had a clear view of the interior from every seat.
Amphitheatres were already known in Caesar's time and were usually made of wood. However, as such constructions were not safe, they were later replaced by stone structures. In the Colosseum construction sheet, the materials used can be clearly seen on the colored print. The same applies to the narrow awning made of cloth that covers the entire circular building.
The size of the model speaks for Bastelbogen Kolosseum
The good material of the Colosseum cut-out sheet gives the 47 cm x 39 cm work a great stand, so that even after years (if you want to achieve this) many details will still be recognizable. For example, the endless round arches on each floor, in which stone figures or busts can be seen piece by piece.
