Greek aryballos - ointment jar
An Aryballos is a small spherical vessel with a stand. It serves as a storage object for scented oils in antiquity.
These were used almost exclusively by male athletes and were attached to the wrist with a leather strap.
In Roman times these vessels were mostly made of glass and in various shapes.
