Roman terracotta replica of a loving couple

A beautiful gift for all those who love: This statue of a Roman couple in intimate embrace kissing each other is made according to an original terracotta figurine from the 2nd or 3rd century AD - it was widely popular in these decades. Our piece is hand-cast ceramic and patinated.

The original object derives from the Temple Old Valley of the old Roman city of Trier, Germany.

We have added a picture to compare it with a similar original object. The original is kept at the Landesmuseum Trier, similar ones can be found at Cologne.

  • 2nd. century AD
  • Height approx. 10 cm
  • Hand-cast ceramic, with patina
