Roman pieces of jewellery - impressing and pretty
Hardly anyone doesn’t know the tragical history of Pompeii and its surrounding places. In the year 79 AD very surprisingly a horrible rumble and thunder started from the close vulcano. The surprised citizens fled from their homes, but the as cloud and the ash’s dust catch up to them on their run and they were suffocated right away. Pompeii was - blasted into the oblivion - buried under a layer of eight meters of ash.

Already the women in the Antiquity weren't ill-disposed towards luxury presents of jewellery from their men. Valuable jewellery, like diadems, rings, bracelets and manly voluptuous earrings were status symbols and presented the wealth and beauty of its owner. Less wealthy women wore jewellery made of glass and bronze.
Already like in the Antiquity 2000 years later beautiful, lavishly and filigreely fabricated earrings fill romans and fans of jewellery, ancient culture and lifestyle with enthusiasm.
