Handicraft pattern Horus
Horus: the Egyptian god with a flacon's head
His wings surrounded the world, his home was the heaven.
Mysterious places accommodated to the most different time his throne, because his mythos and cult were changeable.
He was the worlds', light's god and guardian of the children. His right eye was the sun's eye, the left symbolised the moon. Pharaohs identified themselves with his and wore the flacon's god in their king's title.
"Living Horus" is the most ancient Egyptian king's title.
The son of Isis and Osiris he is in the myths of Osiris, here he searched with his mother for the dead body of his father, fought with Seth, his mother's brother, for the throne of his father Osiris, who was murdered deviously by Seth. In long fights Horus could not defeat Seth, and so he took his claim to the gods' court.
For 80 years the gods could not agree, because they changed their opinions. Not before Osiris interfered and threatened them, that in the end every being would be subordinated to his decision, the decision was made in favour of Horus and Seth lead away in chains.
