Thorshammer - A Historical Pendant
The beautiful pendant is a replica of an original Viking find. They showed their wealth, strength and status by wearing jewellery made of valuable material. Many pieces of jewellery were made from silver blocks/bars, coins or dancing money after they had been melted down.
This resulted in masterly unique pieces, which were decorated with the filigree technique and/or the repoussé technique. While brooches ensured that the clothes remained in the right place, amulets with the Viking gods served to symbolically protect the wearer from evil spirits and attackers.
