The Parthenon Temple - the landmark of Greece
The kit for this magnificent Greek temple by Schreiber inspires with its many loving details.
For friends of antique buildings this cardboard model kit is a good orientation point. In class it clarifies details and underlines the subject.
The Parthenon Temple is still the most impressive building of the ancient world. It is enthroned on the Acropolis and was built in honor of the Greek patron goddess Athena.
This magnificent building, constructed of colourfully painted marble, shone with an indescribable lightness, which was achieved by a special construction method.
Thus none of the sides of this temple shows a straight line. With the help of this optical illusion the huge marble building appears much "lighter".
The temple is in the original 70 m long, 30 m wide and 13 m high. Altogether 17 Doric columns on the long side and 8 columns on the short side support this gigantic building.
In the "Cella" (the actual temple) inside the Parthenon was the 12 m high statue of the goddess Athena, made of gold and ivory.
The craft sheet contains everything you need to build the temple. This is why the true-to-scale construction kit is particularly suitable for use in school lessons.
When building the finished temple, the children and young people automatically learn what the individual components are called and where they belong.
Furthermore, the construction sheet and the subsequently finished building also give a good impression of the splendour of the Parthenon Temple.

Dexterity with sense of achievement

The practical, self-explanatory instructions using numbers and symbols on the components make the fun of building a successful model. How the parts are later put together is shown in the construction drawings.
Have fun and success building this cardboard model.
