Everyone needs containers. Containers come in many shapes and sizes. Some of them are made of clay, some of wood or metal and some of wicker. Especially in Roman times wicker was a very widespread material used to construct nearly everything concerning baskets, containers and bags. Still today wicker is often used to weave baskets and the like, especially if you choose to buy more traditional specimens. The ancient Romans mostly used baskets like the one at hand to present freshly cut flowers or present fruit in their home. Just like baskets are still used today. If you too are interested in giving your home a little Roman flair without having to invest to great a sum into marble statues and fancy frescos, then this little basket might just be the thing for you to have! It is perfectly balanced between practicality and decoration value. It also makes for a neat little present for people that enjoy ancient Roman culture or want to give their homes a more Mediterranean flair. So, do not hesitate and become the owner of this little basket today, or make someone else become the owner!

Sweet little basket I ordered 2 of these as the price was so reasonable and am so pleased with them. Just the right size to hold finished braids, fleece tops for spinning or a ball of wool or two. They stack inside each other so great for packing. I dont know if they will be sturdy enough for heavier items but ideal for my craft use / display.
