A light for Gaul!
Everyone needs light! That was not only true for the people living in Rome directly but also for the people living in the other provinces and city. So, also the people of Gaul. People of Gaul seem to have preferred rather simplistic patterns and ornaments. Such as the Argonne Pattern. Compared directly to other lamps it seems rather pale - but that's only one point of view. It's all about preference. Lamps with this pattern were primarily manufactured and sold in the regions of Gaul. They were not exported as much as other goods. That makes this particular kind of lamp very special and unique. - Should you as well feel special and unique or like to collect things that fit into these categories, then this lamp is for you!
It functions just like any other oil lamp does too. But beware and don't use modern lamp oils. These burn to hot for clay lamps to handle. It will destroy you newly purchased lamp as well as pose a fire hazard on its surroundings.
