Moretum - Roman spread
Moretum is probably the most famous "pesto" of the Romans. The name Moretum stands for "mortared". Even the ancient Romans had a sense of taste . In this kind of pesto which one has dipped with pleasure to fresh bread, different herbs are mortared or better said chopped, mixed with olive oil, sheep's cheese and served.
