This pendant animal of prey was fabricated massively and true to the model animal Borre newly by us. Original pieces of this type come in different quality (but mostly out of thin tinplate wit badly worked details) from the entire Scandinavian area of the late 9th and early 10th century.

The style Borre, as well called style of the animal of prey, is a phase of style from the 9th to the 10th century of the early Middle Ages' art. Named it is after the village Borre in the Norwegian commune Horten. Characteristic for the style are ornaments of animals and plants. The style Borre was followed by the style Jellinge.
