The queen Cleopatra is known to many. Her life and death were in the centre of many pictures, books and films, already William Shakespeare created her a monument with his tragedy "Antonius and Cleopatra", Hollywood even centuries later was interested in her and casted Elisabeth Taylor for the historical movie.
Her beauty is such as legendary as her relationships to the Roman men and strategists Gaius Julius Caesar and later Marcus Antonius, another great politician and general of Rome, who survived Cesar for 6 more years and after his death closed the second triumvirate of Rome together with Octavian, the later emperor Augustus, and Marcus Aemilius Lepidus.
Queen Cleopatra lived from 69 BC to the 12th of August 30 BC, when she together with Marcus Antonius, her beloved, committed suicide, after he had lost the decisive battle at Actium against Octavian, in September 31.
