Our unique Latin scrolls are manufactured according to antique models. The font of the famous De bello Gallico is a Latin Uncial. The scroll Caesar is attached to a wooden stick in beech-wood secured with tituli, its antique "Spine". An English translation is comes with the scroll.

Antique scrolls with Virgil’s accounts
In The Roman Shop, we provide the ancient writings on papyrus scrolls with rods made of real beech wood. The Latin verses (with English translation) are taken from the second book of Virgil’s xxx. The ancient text spans across ca. a one meter scroll of papyrus. Do imagine the length of the entire work by Virgil (born between 29-19 BC) on a scroll, as it comprises twelve books with over 10,000 verses.
