Roman hair jewellery hairpin
A pretty filigran hairpin like the roman model shows the hand of Venus holding an apple. For holding together the long hair hairpins out of bone or metal were used, which often were adorned richly with details.
So it not only had a decorative and practical background and naturally shows as well the Roman social position of a person. The pin obviously is wearable and give today, just like 2000 years ago, every hair a distinctive highlight.
