We are able to learn from ancient documents and writings, how our world looked many centuries ago. One of the most famous writers and historians of the Roman Empire was Cicero. He was born in 106 B.C. and suffered a violent death on the run from his opponents and enemies in 43 B.C. His enemies had forged a plot against him.
