Mosaic stone Ceraton

Mosaics transform surfaces into colourful, shimmering works of art and spread a timeless climate of the Mediterranean region. Looking at a mosaic one can lose oneself, feel its constant processing and feel its smooth, cool and textured surface.
Mosaic decorations are ideal for objects challenged by temperature and weather, such as a wrought-iron table in the gazebo, a coaster for the kitchen, surfaces on interior and exterior walls, or even floor areas that deserve a particularly attentive experience when crossing over.

In any case, anyone who creates his or her own mosaic will give himself or herself a lasting, durable and unique work of art that will delight his or her senses again and again and certainly awaken a passion for this meditative craft!

Mosaic Art - Memories of Early Advanced Cultures

Already in many pre-Christian folk cultures the art of painting with coloured stones, plates, glass pieces or clay pens has been known and loved. The earliest mosaics from the middle of the 3rd millennium before Christ in the area between Euphrates and Tigris are documented. In Greek and Roman antiquity, the art of mosaics was highly developed and produced beautiful works. In the Italian Renaissance, plate mosaics spread in particular, and the art of mosaic with small stones again experienced a significant boom in the Art Nouveau period.
