Surely this emperor hat bad sides too but he is mostly remembered for his positive features and his great building projects. For example the so called Caracalla Thermae - the biggest thermae in the Roman Empire. Furthermore, he was held in very high regard by his armies and soldiers. An honor not achieved my all the emperors.
Under his reign the empire was fairly stable, except for the usual hickup. That makes him a decent enough emperor to not have his legacy be destroyed by any kind of madness.
