The music piece "Dido" Jan Novak is an enchanting cantata according to the 4th Book of Vergils Aeneis (1967, recorded in 1982), the second element of the CD from Jan Novak has the amazing title "Mimus Magicus" and was composed according Vergil's 8th eclogue (1969, recorded in 1986). The male choir and symphony orchestra were directed by Raphael Kubelik. Marilyn Schmiege tags the role of the mezzo soprano. Hans Herbert Fiedler the one of the speaker. In total Jan Novak's CD convinces with its extraordinary uniqueness, that enchants the senses of its listeners.
