Augustus - a popular Roman ruler

In the Roman Empire the powerful Augustus was extremely popular in the population. He alway had his focus on his aims and acted especially foresighted. Although during his childhood he often was ill, still he was made heir by Julius Cesar. Cesar was fascinated by its personality and unique strength of being able to get the population to agree with him. At the age of 18 years Augustus received great renown in the Roman Empire. Then when he was in the middle of his political rise, a destructive civil war was ranging in Rome.
Honoured and loved by the people - a great man symbolising peace
When the civil war ended, Augustus was the only ruler of the Empire and took over the political power. The proud adoptive son of Cesar trusted completely his loyal soldiers and turned the Roman Empire in a peaceful monarchy. Augustus wether was emperor, nor he owned the title of a king. His high position this smart move didn't harm at all. On the contrary, because he became even more popular this way.
