This roman writing pen made of reed, which is called ‘calamus’, is imported from the south of France and already precut. The Calamus is therefore ready to use. 

Just grab some papyrus or parchment, your writing pen or Calamus and some ink and off you go! If you prefer the Calamus to be narrower or maybe even wider, you can easily cut it individually to fit your own needs and desires.  The wider the tip the more calligraphic the writing result!
