A Roman book? Just as were the so-called volume or scroll.
For real papyrus sheets they are in our workshop handmade, so you can describe specifically the scroll with ancient or modern texts - the best way to do this with the authentic writing materials: a goose feather or a write pen of reeds.
The scroll is assembled on a wooden rod with carved beech tails. They can be in describing the curious scroll, reading is held securely and finally wound up on the wood.
Many of these scrolls were the only ones in Italy preserved Roman Villa of the Papyri in the library - found near Pompeii - the "Villa of the Papyri."
