1. Papyrus plant is harvested and cut in stripes
2. The water soaked stripes are then rolled onto a flat surface
3. Papyrus stripes are placed against each other vertically and horizontally
4. The stripes should overlap
5. The wet papyrus paper is placed in between cotton cloths
6. Finally, the papyrus paper is then pressed

Most of the Papyrus is traditionally produced in North Africa in the along the Nile River of Egypt with the help of the cultivated plant, the Cyprus grass, and then exported to Europe.
